I am an ITEC accredited (Merit) Sports Injury and Massage Therapist.
Whilst training for a marathon I suffered many aches and pains for which I received many sessions of sports massage, it was these treatments that encouraged me to change my career direction and to re-train in the field of Sports Massage. I am also completing my Physiotherapy Degree at the University of Essex so you can be rest assured you are being treated by someone who cares.
I have worked with athletes and non-athletes from a range of different sporting backgrounds but who all commonly come to me with a range of different injuries or day to day aches and pains.
I also work part time in my local hospital as a Physiotherapy Assistant and have rotated through many different departments including Orthopaedics, Cardiothoracics, Respiratory, Neuro and Care of the Elderly.
You do not need to be a sports enthusiast to benefit from a sports massage, many of my clients suffer from neck and back pain due to poor posture or work related impediments, or they come to just give their muscles a break and to have a massage to soothe away any aches or pains.
I am registered with the Sports Massage Association and am a Student member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists.
